Helaina was nominated by Barton College Education faculty as a candidate for North Carolina’s “Student Teacher of the Year” and has been named a Top 10 Finalist. She graduated magna cum laude this past spring with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in both exceptional children and psychology. This fall, she will be begin her career as a first grade teacher.
